About the Internship:

Commercial Learning provides clinical, disease state, foundational and product training for the US Sales Force. The student intern will be required to review content, align content to the cited scientific and clinical literature, interact with our internal therapeutic area training team and participate in content curriculum discussion and delivery in a productive and valued manner. The intern will meet and interact with key internal and external stakeholders, including brand links, functional areas, consultants and venders when necessary. The intern will participate in the project team. At the end of the internship, the individual will present their key learnings to the department management team.

What are the objectives/goals of the position?

Contribute to the establishment of a continuum of clinical acumen learning by development and design of key high impact training for the existing sales force as well as deliver improvements to new hire training.

What are the primary duties of this position?

Candidate will be responsible for evaluating scientific training content for the assigned Therapeutic Areas. For new curriculum, this will be accomplished by critiquing, proof reading, and reference checking drafts of documents, Web Based Training storyboards, PowerPoints of Virtual Learning decks and other related training materials. For existing training content, candidate will be responsible for reformat and refit existing materials, in a creative manner, to meet current needs, following the guidance from our medical team.

 
Position Requirements

What technical skills are required?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in progress in Junior status or higher; 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Basic understanding of general scientific content (Biology and/or Pharmacy)

  • Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design

  • Self-motivated and creative with the capability to learn quickly and deliver to project milestones

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, collaboration, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Demonstrated competency using information technology, PCs, and MS Office Software

  • Familiarity with US healthcare system

  • Must be available to work 7.5 hours/day between the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday through Friday
