Share Email Opening Title Fleet Safety Specialist  Category Safety   Position Fleet Safety Specialist   Description Overview: The Fleet Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Company's fleet team and drivers. The role will support the maximization of fleet utilization and perform duties to provide services in accordance with established operation procedures and company policies. This position assists in the administration and coordination of the organization's fleet of DOT regulated vehicles, maintains accurate records of vehicles, and ensures compliance with government rules and regulations and files paperwork in support of this compliance as needed. Additionally, this position will be the point of contact for safety matters, including driver logs/violations, and tickets, and will administer the quarterly Fleet Safety review. The employee in this position will monitor status of drivers' licenses and DOT medical cards and ensures they are documented appropriately in each Driver Qualification file and ensures expired documents are renewed. Responsibilities: Maintain, create and distribute a variety of spreadsheets, access data bases and reports pertaining to DOT driver authorization tracking; File and maintain all department information; Be the liaison to various company departments as it relates to company fleet; Support Safety Auditors, as needed; Additional Office Administration duties may be performed by the Fleet Administrator.   Position Requirements Qualifications: 2-3+ years DOT and FMCSA industry knowledge or experience, formal training preferred Must be familiar with IFTA reporting Excellent communication and organization skills Ability to work independently and under some pressure Ability to maintain confidentiality Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications   Salary   Req Number SAF-18-00001   Location Boston   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
