Human Resources Generalist 

Description

Cambridge Management, Inc. is looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will be primarily responsible for recruiting and talent acquisition. This position may also have responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: benefit administration, training, leave management, and HRIS system implementation & maintenance.

Essential Functions

  • Partners with company managers to attract, hire and retain the best employees
  • Develops and maintains company ATS system
  • Provides initial candidate screening activities and may schedule or conduct interviews
  • Initiates employment offers and may support background checking
  • Works with outside vendors to develop staffing solutions
  • Represents the company at job fairs and college recruiting events
  • Develops company job descriptions
  • Facilitates or provides training to employees and management.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
  • May provide administrative support for company benefit programs including orientation, enrollment, education, tracking and reporting
  • May provide administrative support for the company-wide leave program for FMLA, STD, LTD, and Workers Compensation including tracking and reporting, in accordance with various state requirements
 
Position Requirements

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 5+ years’ of work experience in an HR capacity
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification highly desired
  • Experience using Ascentis or other ATS systems
  • Multi state experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state and local laws
  • Familiarity with WA, CA, SD, LA, GA, NC, FL, and HI laws preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency with MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to build and maintain trust at all levels, protect and preserve confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
