We are currently recruiting for an outgoing, fun-loving, creative individual to lead activites in our Activity Department. This position is responsible for interacting with and leading programing in our life enrichment program at our nursing home including; musical entertainment, resident/family events, large and small group activities, as well as individual one-on-one visits. You along side the Activity director and two Activities Assistants will create programs that will reflect the varied interests of the residents, enhances their functional abilities and self-esteem, and provides them with meaningful, enriching activities to remain engaged, challenged and active through daily activities. Participation in recreational activities is one of the highlights of our residents' days.

Responsible to meet the social, spiritual and therapeutic needs of the residents through activities, programming and continued interaction with community groups.

The Activity Assitants, in collaboration with the director are responsbile to meet the social, spiritual and therapeutic needs of our residents through activites, prgramming and continued interaction with community groups according to the facility philosophy and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

•    Sixteen years of age (min)
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Strong desire to work with the elderly
•    Must be English literate and possess strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
•    Valid WI Drivers License

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
•    High School diploma or equivalent
•    Previous experience in long term care
•    CPR certification
•    First Aid Certification

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB, DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTATIONS
1.    Collects data to assist in the Assessment Process documentation.
2.    Facilitates daily events and programming to meet the needs to the residents.
3.    Performs one on one interaction to enhance quality of life.
4.    Implements Plan of Care.
5.    Assists with development of activity programming.    
6.   Other duties:  Completes all other duties as assigned.
