POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple, diverse IT projects in support of the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence G6 and will be required to plan, estimate, propose, execute, budget, and close out projects while working efficiently to meet project deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and complete projects in support of the CCoE IT Transformation.
• Manage deliverables, status and quality elements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of project.
• Coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of the project.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership regarding status of project.
• Build and maintain working relationships with team members involved in the projects.
• Establish internal support for the methods used to complete the project.
• Assist in the development of high complex solutions that support the CCoE.
• Develop and manage written project plans, including program schedules and communicate plans with all G6 staff, contract team members, users, and other parties involved in the project.
• Communicate project needs, goals, and milestones with appropriate G6 Division Chiefs, Senior Management and Team members.
• Produce reports and documents in support of the CCoE.
• Ensure adherence to master plans and schedules and develop solutions to project problems.
• Work closely with Division Chiefs and technical leaders to ensure the development and delivery of integrated solutions, providing input into project direction and design.
• Act as technical writing advisor regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
• Define and develop project processes, requirements, flows, structure, schedule, and deliverables.
• Research, develop, and write content for printed and electronic manuals, documentation, and supporting materials for software, hardware, technical procedures, and IT-related services.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and publications relating to users, systems, programming, operations, products, and services.
• Gather and research technical information, including engineering and development information, for use in documentation activities.
• Interview programmers, engineers, developers, and other technical personnel to become familiar with product technology and development methods.
• Create graphical images, flow charts, and diagrams for inclusion in documentation.
• Attend meetings directly related to or associated with assigned projects; may be on or off site (local).

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • MUST have an active and current DoD TS/SCI security clearance (Clearances cannot be obtained post hire as they are required to fulfill the requirements of the position. Applicants without a TS/SCI clearance will not be considered).
  • Must have a minimum of a 5 years of IT project management experience
  • Must have and maintain an active PMP commercial certification.
