ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
? Builds and maintains strong, cross-functional and professional relationships between the Learning and
Development department and supporting departments.
? Consults with assigned departments to assess performance needs and assists in identifying training/ nontraining
solutions, while keeping supervisor aware of involvement in such projects. Works in conjunction
with Performance Application Specialist and/or Instructional Designer to update performance materials
and learning strategies for assigned areas of responsibility. Maintains inventories for assigned Learning and
Development courses, activities and events.
? Sets clear expectations for the outcome of projects in assigned areas of responsibility.
? Trains and coordinates assigned department Certified Instructors and Certified Sponsors. Conducts audits
and provides formal feedback to Certified Instructors and Certified Sponsors about performance on a
regular basis to ensure quality.
? Coordinates the scheduling of Certified Instructors for assigned areas of responsibility.
? Coaches, co-facilitate, or facilitate the training of Associates in assigned areas of responsibility, using the
approved Learning and Development courses.
? Oversees attendance and successful completion of all job skills courses for Associates in assigned areas of
? Submits feedback on attendance, sponsorship, and Certified Instructors.
? Assists in developing and updating job skills courses and checklists for assigned areas of responsibility.
? Consults with departments on internal processes and procedures to include consistent Company
formatting, layout, and distribution. The Specialist may provide recommendations and roll out.
? Collaborates with Performance Application Specialist and subject matter expert to develop and update
performance materials as assigned.
? Communicates effectively when dealing with Associates, team members, and all levels of management by
asking questions, listening proactively, and providing feedback both verbally and written.
? Confers regularly with supervisor to review achievements and to discuss needed updates in goals,
objectives and/or department direction resulting from current or future projects.
? Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
