MedImmune is pioneering innovative research and exploring novel pathways across key therapeutic areas, including respiratory, inflammation and autoimmunity; cardiovascular and metabolic disease; oncology; neuroscience; and infection and vaccines. We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related major for an internship during the summer of 2018. This internship opportunity is with the Oncology department. The objective of this internship is to investigate the immunobiology of Kupffer cells. Core Responsibilities: Maintain the culture of human Kupffer cells Stimulate cells and collect samples Analyze cytokine profile and activation markers of the cells   Position Requirements Position Requirements: Experience with Cell Culture, ELISA, and immunoblotting Must make detailed observations and good record keeping skills Ability to work as part of a team Strong verbal and written communication skills.
