This position will lead the supply chain activities globally to solve problems, fulfill excellent customer service and BMC growth. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED BY THIS POSITION: Master’s Degree in Business or Science is preferred, Bachelor Degree required.Must be able to demonstrate a high level of business acumen. A minimum of 10 years of experience in TDL, M & A, and Leadership. Creativity and strategic thinking with a demonstrated ability to provide and articulate the future vision for TDL. RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Direction Keep focused on the external environment to create the future for BMC in transportation, distribution and logistics. Explore many possibilities and discern the best opportunities. Working with the Advisory Team develop the strategic business plan for BMC. Provide the TDL Team with focus and alignment to achieve BMC goals. Create the short-term and long-term objectives with the team. Execution Build strategic business plans with the BMC Leadership team. Align the TDL team goals and objectives to achieve BMC’s business plan. Provide for product availability to support our customers and company sales in all markets. Create the strategy for transloads, logistics, transportation, and last mile solutions to improve both service and cost. Provide systems that deliver the speed, flexibility and customization our customers require. Lead the team to design digital platforms/cloud based solution and implement the best technology to meet the customer needs. Keep current with new technology and leading indicators to provide supply chain optimization into the future. Develop and execute transportation strategy including carrier rates and service negotiations, contracts, technology updates, route and fleet management, distribution network, transloads, and ensure all activity is in compliance. Leadership Build the A teams in TDL. Develop appropriate performance objectives, hold coaches accountable and provide meaningful rewards and recognition. Financial Performance Partner with the Strategic Leaders team to evaluate the current financial performance of the company and identify specific areas in need of improvement. Manage the budget for TDL. Evaluate how to manage this area of the business to reduce operating costs while improving service through technology.
