The Infrastructure Systems Administrator will be responsible for installation, configuration and operational maintenance of hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual will ensure that hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operations and Support -
Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all network resources.
Verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and replication.
Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
Design and implement new infrastructure initiatives.
Complete tickets assigned by internal ticket managing system.
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
Provide back up to Help Desk Technician.
Participate in after hours on-call support rotation.
Travel to various Co-op locations as needed to work on hardware, software, meetings or projects.
Apply patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Maintain network systems, including: DHCP, DNS, DFS, iSCSI.
Upgrade and configure system software that supports infrastructure applications.
Maintain knowledgebase, operational, configuration, or other procedures.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
Maintain monitoring systems and equipment.
Adhere to Co-op policies, procedures and employee code of conduct
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years OR 6+ years of Support and Administration experience
Microsoft Server Operating Systems: 2012 Server, SQL Server
