Description

Summary:

The Support Operations Specialist provides training support and assists in receiving, analyzing and documenting TRADOC tasking requests assigned to CASCOM as well as tracking Government approved tasking's issued within the Command.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Track and update the status of orders and calendar events in a daily common operating picture.
  • Display and update the common operating picture status in the G-3 Operations Area
  • Conduct mission analysis on TRADOC Task Orders (TASKORDS)
  • Independently write CASCOM Operational Orders (OPORDs) and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGORDs)
  • Staff OPORDS and FRAGORDS for decisions at the appropriate military or DA Civilian approval
  • Receive and update the CASCOM and G3/5/7 SharePoint calendars for events tasked
  • Verify completion of foreign disclosure for briefings to Foreign Visitors
  • Track Operational Reports and submissions
  • Screen Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) information
  • Submit Global Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System operational reports via SIPRNET
  • Receive, analyze, disseminate and track external mission support requests
  • Receive and coordinate responses on requests for information and assistance

Required Qualifications:

  • Twelve (12) or more years of officer or NCO experience
  • Three (3) or more years of experience as OIC/NCOIC in Brigade Operations; Support Operations; Battle Staff; or higher level operations
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Intermediate Level Education (ILE) or equivalent graduate
  • Battle Staff Graduate, Phase II Support Operations Course graduate, or equivalent education

Clearance: Secret clearance required

Location: FT Lee, VA

Travel: Some travel may be required
