We are currently seeking Junior, Senior nad MBA student with major in molecular biology/biochemistry /bioengineering What are the objectives/goals of the position? Goal of our group is to discover new platforms and cancer antigens, which can elicit strong immunity against various cancers; this internship will involve in generating constructs and screening candidates by evaluating candidates in tissue culture and animal models What are the primary duties of this position? This intern will work with a group of scientists and perform following tasks with supervision Use DNA sequence analysis to design plasmid and primer for cloning/sequencing new genes Conduct molecular cloning and sequence analysis Assess antigen expression in cell culture Evaluate candidate by flow cytometry and fluorescent microscope analysis Summarize experiment data, discuss findings with supervisor and present data and data interpretation at group meetings Help scientists on experiments in mice if needed Help to organize lab instruments and place orders Expect to present research at site/department meetings at end of internship   Position Requirements What technical skills are required? Familiar with DNA sequence analysis or related software Hands-on experience in DNA/RNA manipulation and cell culture Hands-on experience in flow cytometry and data analysis Hands-on experience in fluorescent microscope and data analysis Willing to do experiments in mice Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong skills in Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location South San Francisco, CA   This position is currently not accepting applications.
