Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health provides services for children and families who are navigating the child welfare and foster care placement system and permanency placement process, ensuring a community without abuse, neglect and abandonment, so all children grow to their full potential. Based out of Winter Haven, FL, this position is responsible for the coordination of the adoption and foster placement processes including reviewing permanency case files to make recommendations, promoting and providing education regarding foster care programs, and providing training and direction to other staff in regards to the program.

Position Requirements

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required
  • Current certification as a Child Protection Professional issued by the Florida Certification Board required

Experience:

  • 1+ years experience in mental health, substance abuse, solution-focused framework, and/or wraparound planning required
  • Prior experience working with DCF, child welfare systems and data management systems perferred

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete a three day new hire orientation class (Monday - Wednesday); hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm
