Being a Family Based Therapsit at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health has its Advantages
As a Family Based Therapist within our Philadelphia Community Services you will be involved in creating a focused and customized treatment plan to serve the needs of children, adolescents and their families. Our Treatment approaches revolves around an ESFT Clinical mdoel.
Family Based Services strives to keep children and youth, ages 2 to 21 with significant mental and emotional health challenges, living successfully with their families in their own communities. This program incorporates families and caregivers in the treatment process to ensure a child’s positive involvement at home, school or within the community – and to reduce the possibility of placement in residential treatment, psychiatric hospitals, or foster placements.
To reach this goal, clinicians visit children and families within their home. Parents acquire effective management skills and approaches to improve the child’s well-being, while the child or young adult learns skills to become successful in school, follow directions at home, develop and maintain positive relationships within the community, and reach expected emotional, social and academic achievements.
We are seeking a Full-Time Family Based Therapist to provide services for identified families in the home and communities of Philadelphia. Responsibilities include:
·Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care, treatment, and services for the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents in a therapeutic format.
·Collaborate with colleagues regarding individual client progress/barriers and overall treatment.
·Demonstrate the skills, knowledge and abilities in the areas of regulatory compliance and adherence to professional standards.
·Responsible for accurate completion of all clinical documentation, within required timeframes (i.e. progress notes, assessments, Treatment Plans, Discharge Summaries, etc).
