Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Gaming Management, or related field (OR) Two (2) years of Accounting experience in A/P, GL, payroll, purchasing or revenue audit.
  2. Two (2) years of casino gaming work experience.
  3. High School Diploma or GED.
  4. Strong communication skills: efficient verbal skills to clearly exchange information, good auditory acuity to communicate with others, able to provide information in writing that is clear, concise and appropriate to the task and demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities to work effectively with others.
  5. Computer skills to work independently with word processing, spreadsheets, database and email software.
  6. Flexible schedule and able to work various days/hours, including weekends.
  7. Physically fit: able to perform routine office functions including sitting, bending, lifting and maneuvering up to 25 lbs.; perform repetitive motion of wrist, hands and fingers at a computer station; and work in a smoky, noisy environment.
  8. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  9. Requires a High Security Gaming License clearance
  10. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 
Description

JOB SUMMARY

Will work with closely with the Compliance Manager and resort and gaming management to ensure that all internal controls, Title 31 regulations, Tribal, Federal and State gaming laws and regulations, gaming compact, and non-gaming procedures are followed. Duties shall include conducting audits, investigations, and training to ensure understanding of and compliance with policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensure customer service and satisfaction through prompt, efficient and professional service.
  2. Assist in monitoring the compliance of internal controls throughout Wildhorse, and addresses appropriately as directed.
  3. Maintains an accurate database of internal controls and non-compliant procedures, and generates reports/queries there from.
  4. Communicate effectively with department heads, the "non-compliance procedure" to ensure a complete understanding of the error and corrective measures needed.
  5. Works with departments to develop sound operational policies and procedures that alleviate procedural violations and reduce risk of WRC assets.
  6. Conducts analysis of database entries, for recurring violations by employee, department, procedure, etc., and shares the information and findings with the Compliance Manager.
  7. Monitors, assists with and tracks corrective actions taken for procedural violations.
  8. Assists with conducting investigations, including interviewing persons involved, reviewing documents, referencing operational policies and practices, reviewing surveillance tapes, etc. Accurately documents the investigative process and findings and submits a summary of findings to supervisor.
  9. Performs audits as outlined or assigned, including random audits to ensure knowledge of and compliance with laws, policies and regulations. Documents audit actions, findings and recommendations.
  10. Shall assist with providing regulatory training, including title 31, internal controls, non-gaming procedural manual excerpts, etc.
  11. Will assist Manager with preparing modifications or amendments as appropriate for various codes, policies or manuals.
  12. Promote adherence to established policy, codes, laws and regulations at all times.
  13. Maintains confidentiality of operational policies, procedures situations, etc., releasing information only as authorized.
  14. Ensure that the workspace is maintained in a clean, neat and organized manner and that equipment is handled safely and appropriately.
  15. Other related duties as assigned by the Compliance Manager.

 
Salary $14.00-$19.00 hourly
