This division is responsible for the development and production of all fiber optics related products. Our processes include glass making, fiber drawing and assembling cables and other related devices. As a Process Engineer, you will work in a fast-paced, team environment focused on meeting customers' needs and expectations by supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can work alone as well as an integral part of a team. This position is for a mid-level individual with an engineering or technical background with direct experience with process and equipment automation. Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to: Control, monitor and improve the manufacturing process for glass making and fiber drawing. Design and program automated solutions for new and existing equipment and processes. Develop methods to capture and analyze process data. Ensure the proper maintenance of all production equipment. Provide day-to-day support for manufacturing processes. Recommend and implement process improvements. Provide training regarding changes, new production techniques, equipment and new products. Improve assembly instructions, tools, and jigs Develop automation applications to improve the assembly process. Qualifications Experience: 3+ years of experience in a similar role Education: B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Similar Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in the use of LabVIEW, PLC or other controller software. Understanding of software development and computer programming. Solidworks or equivalent 3D modelling software. Strong sense of ownership and work ethic. Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to learn quickly. Ability to shift from one task to another to address changing production priorities.
