We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related major for an internship during the summer of 2018. This internship opportunity is with the Cell Culture and Fermentation Sciences department. The intern candidate will be part of the team responsible for developing and optimizing scalable mammalian cell culture processes for the production of therapeutic proteins and transferring processes to clinical and commercial sites. Core Responsibilities: The intern candidate’s responsibilities include, but not limited to, routine sub-culture of cells, cell banking, designing of experiments, performing experiments in ambr, shake-flasks and bio-reactors, statistical analysis of data, trouble-shooting and developing new technologies as well as well as maintaining lab equipment that is used to support lab operations. High accuracy and details of data entry to electronic lab notebook is required. A high degree of proficiency in spread-sheet programs, and data analysis is expected. The candidate will be expected to present data at internal meetings, and poster at the end of internship at Company Intern Poster Session. The intern candidate will work under the direction and general supervision from manager. |
