JOB SUMMARY The Assembler will perform a wide range of electronic and mechanical assembly operations. This position will use assembly drawings, parts list, work-instructions, and/or wiring lists to complete daily tasks. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Acquire and maintain all required certifications. Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Receives minimal instruction/supervision on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments. Perform electrical and mechanical assembly operations on product of varying complexity. This may include, but is not limited to: basic soldering, mechanical/pneumatic pressing/swaging, sheet-metal assembly, working with wire bundles, pinning and crimping. Work from hard-copy (paper) and electronic work instructions and assembly drawings. Ability to use a variety of small hand tools as well as mechanical and air driven swaging equipment and power tools (i.e. Dremel and electric screwdrivers). Operators may be required to use chemicals, solvents and epoxy resins during the normal course of assembly operations. Complete assignments within established labor standards. Will adhere to “5S” organization and housekeeping requirements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Qualifications: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. May require certification in IPC610, J-STD-001 and PIC7711/7721 (rework & repair). Minimum 2 years relevant (as it pertains to the above responsibilities) aerospace production/assembly experience.
