Job Summary:

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support a wide variety of HR functions including benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, and special projects. In this role you will be an active member of the team and you will gain knowledge from and interact with HR professionals throughout the length of your internship. In addition you will be exposed to different facets of Human Resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing and posting content for staff on our internal communications platform, Workplace.
  • Participate in the recruitment process by updating and tracking job boards and job postings.
  • Complete research, reports, and audits.
  • Assist in event planning, coordination, and execution of staff events.
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned.
 
Position Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in pursuit of a degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • An interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality with regard to all HR information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An exceptional multitasker that’s quick and organized, and functions with a sense of urgency.
  • Adaptable and ambitious. Able to enthusiastically take on assignments as needed to support the team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

This internship is part of the Academy Gold Program, an 8-week internship enhancement program that incorporates learning opportunities including an intensive two-day orientation, weekly panels, exclusive networking events, workshops, screenings, and mentorship opportunities with Academy members.
