We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics or a related major for an internship during the summer of 2018. This internship opportunity is with the Analytical Sciences department. This intern will have an understanding of degradation pathways of protein biologics in particular, kinetics of asparagine deamidation and aspartate isomerization under process relevant pH and temperature conditions. The intern will also implement multivariate approach to student design and data analysis. Core Responsibilities: This intern will design multi and univariate studies to understand different degradation pathways of protein therapeutics. The intern will perform sample preparation, analytical testing and data analysis. The intern will be trained on peptide mapping with mass spectrometry, as well as other chromatography techniques. Study findings will be interpreted in the context of protein structure and surface property changes as well as impact to parameters of clinical performance; bioactivity and pharmacokinetics. |
