JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for beverage preparation and service to the guests. Reports to the Lead Bartender or Beverage Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Provides excellent Guest Service.
  • Adhere to all ABC regulations.
  • Ensures cleanliness of the operation and adherence to all State and Federal health codes.
  • Prepare all mixes and garnishes.
  • Stock all glassware, condiments, beer, paper products and other necessary items needed for efficient operation.
  • Preparation of drinks.
  • Get change as required.
  • Stocking, requisition products.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/GED or relevant experience.
  • Currently has or has the ability to obtain a Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification
  • Ability to read write and communicate verbally in the English language.
  • Ability to recognize, handle and accurately exchange currency (make change).
  • Minimum one (1) year bar back experience or completion of Bartending School.
  • Knowledge of automated liquor systems, a plus.
  • Knowledge of POS systems, a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the bar and casino, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis. Work is performed in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky and dimly lit. Constant contact with staff and customers. Requires normal sense of smell, taste, touch, and sound.  Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment
