Description

Partners with internal stakeholders to translate marketing information into strong and effective messaging for the purposes of acquiring prospects and retaining clients. Ensures consistency of message, tone, and style.

  • Researches industry trends to plan, produce, and analyze the written content created to develop strategic and effective marketing communications. Provides product expertise and high-impact copy for all media types, including print and digital. Works with a theme or concept and develops copy that will drive, achieve and/or exceed business goals.
  • Contributes to the content planning process by driving alignment between the needs of key audiences/segments and the business as a whole. Oversees the Compliance, SME, and SEO review process. Builds the editorial calendar and written guidelines and determines sources for content, both internally and externally.
  • Partners closely with marketing partners to be a brand steward to ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging/story across multiple initiatives and programs.
  • On-boards new writers to help ensure partnership and consistency. Works with peers to increase the quality of each piece. Ensures tone, message, and style represent brand voice.
  • Works with Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and other Paychex departments to strategically position Paychex products. Understands competitor and customer information to clearly explain product features and benefits.
  • Manages, develops, and adapts workflow processes to ensure delivery of content is accurate and on time.
  • Writes, edits, proofreads, approves, and publishes content to update Paychex websites. Ensures all Paychex content and marketing copy meets established brand and grammatical standards.Creates a network of freelancers and go-to influencers to build brand awareness and support.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5 years of experience in Content management experience within an in-house marketing department or advertising agency.
  • Experience managing an editorial calendar for a media publication or marketing team.
  • Proven exemplary creative writer.
  • A portfolio of work or writing samples will be requested.
