Job Summary:

Reporting to the department head of Student Academy Awards & Grants and the department head of Nicholl Fellowships, the Intern will get exposure to all aspects of the Academy’s two international, non- Oscar competitions – the Student Academy Awards and the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. The Intern will primarily assist with a project that will serve both departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research, update, and organize large amounts of data for intra-department project.
  • Meticulously proof records for proper formatting, grammar and accuracy.
  • Provide miscellaneous and overflow administrative support to both department heads.
  • Track and communicate progress on assigned projects.
 
Position Requirements
  • Demonstrated interest in film production and/or screenwriting.
  • Previous office experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills with special attention to accuracy.
  • High detail orientation and organizational abilities.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong initiative and follow-through.

This internship is part of the Academy Gold Program, an 8-week internship enhancement program that incorporates learning opportunities including an intensive two-day orientation, weekly panels, exclusive networking events, workshops, screenings, and mentorship opportunities with Academy members.
