Summary:
Serve as a Combined Arms Training Strategy (CATS) Functional Analyst. Primary responsibility is to provide functional support analysis for Sustainment, Force Projection, Pease Enforcement, Stability Operation, Consequence Management, Defense Support to Civil Authority (DSCA), Mission Command, and Weapons Qualifications Monitor CATS development and sustainment and respond to CATS information requirements. Coordinate all CATS support requirements concerning IPRs and unit and proponent school validations. Conduct mobile training team visits to educate units on CATS. Review emerging doctrine and initiatives such as: training management doctrine, System Training Plan (STRAP), policies, programs, other Government initiatives, Army feedback, direct input and feedback from the field on collective training matters, direction from the Home Station / Deployed Council of Colonels (HS CoC), Training General Officer Steering committee (TGOSC), Training Development Capability (TDC), Army Training Management System (ATMS), and the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). These reviews shall facilitate full and complete integration of CATS Program requirements and to identify deficiencies in existing CATS that require revision.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provides military subject matter expertise to assigned programs. Provides advanced analytical and technical support to projects involving training, tactical/operational documentation, military systems design or other efforts requiring military operations expertise. Researches, identifies, and makes recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion. Gathers, processes, and analyzes operational data. Assists with the testing and development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs. Identifies and recommends emergent relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes. Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas. Participates in special projects as required.
Required Qualifications:
At a minimum a Bachelor's Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) and graduate of a military service school equivalent to Command and General Staff College, Warrant officer Senior Service Education or Senior Leader Course (Sergeant Majors Academy preferred).
Branch qualified. Five (5) + year’s general experience in military planning, training, operations, logistics, intelligence, force design/ development and combat developments. Served on the Battalion or Brigade level staff in an operations position.
Working knowledge of CATS development in accordance with TRADOC PAM 350-70-1 and have a working knowledge of the Digital Training Manament System (DTMS), the DTMS CATS Developement Tool, and the Army Training Network (ATN).
At a minimum achieved the rank of Major(0-4) or Master Sergeant (E-8)
Familiar with emerging Army force structures, the Training Model concept, and Sustainable Readiness Model (SRM) in addition to AR 350-1, FM 7-0, TRADOC Regulation 350-70.
Proficiency and demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office products and use of the NIPRNet and SIPRNet.
