MedImmune is pioneering innovative research and exploring novel pathways across key therapeutic areas, including respiratory, inflammation and autoimmunity; cardiovascular and metabolic disease; oncology; neuroscience; and infection and vaccines. We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management or a similar field for an internship during the summer of 2018. This summer internship opportunity is with the Manufacturing Sciences group. Core Responsibilities: The Interns for Manufacturing Sciences Team will be responsible for the development of process maps, metrics dashboards, spreadsheet integration and training projects related to process excellence initiatives within the Manufacturing Sciences function. The individual will also participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions working closely with Materials Management, Investigations, and Batch Record Creation functions. In addition, cross functional work with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Environmental Health & Safety, and Facilities departments is expected. The individual will give a closing presentation on accomplishments during internship. Objectives and Duties: Perform process mapping, integrate existing spreadsheets, develop dashboards for displaying existing metrics, and develop training materials. Assist process excellence projects for manufacturing function. Will include but is not limited to development of flow diagrams, PowerPoint presentations, job aids and excel spreadsheets   Position Requirements Position Requirements: Proficiency in computer MS Office including: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint Strong organization, interpersonal and presentation skills Ideal candidate is motivated and demonstrates creative thinking Current Senior and Master level candidates Grade Point Average 3.0+   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location Gaithersburg, MD   This position is currently not accepting applications.
