Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews work orders to determine work priorities, scheduling and follow up actions.
  • Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations. Assess tools and equipment to determine internal or external repair needs. Manages, and tracks the resolution of operational rig assets sent to external repair facilities.
  • Tracks and coordinates the resolution of rig assets sent to external repair facilities.
  • Manages, schedules, and dispatches workers, crews, equipment or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to rig specifications, needs, or requests.
  • Maintains a weekly maintenance schedule of actions performed.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Preserve and maintain accurate inspection results and intervals on Rig equipment.
  • Coordinates with external supplier to provide support for repairs beyond the scope of organization's capability.
  • Codes invoices from third parties for parts on operational rigs.
  • Accurately compiles maintenance department employee hours, vacation and personal days to Payroll.
  • Supervises, and provides oversight for major maintenance to rig equipment by Orion or 3rd party service crews.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
 
Position Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education and Training – Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Technical Requirements – General understanding of the following systems: hydraulic, diesel engines, mechanical, electrical, electronic, top drive, and logic and motor control.
  • Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
  • Working Conditions – This job is normally in an office setting and the noise level is quiet; however on occasion the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outside weather conditions and noise is moderate. This position is required to travel to on site locations as needed.
