Practice Leader 

Description

Wakely is seeking leaders to help us expand the Wakely practice model to new cities. These leaders will be expected to promote Wakely’s culture of personal flexibility and accountability. The leaders will help develop new areas of expertise and expand our current practice areas through business development efforts, technical excellence, and top notch service. The leaders will be responsible for supporting hiring, mentoring, and practice operations in these new markets. Client Management - mentor and advises others on growing business through client relationships.

  1. Develop opportunities for the visibility of Wakely tools, services and products;
  2. Design and monitor plans to achieve strategic client goals and satisfaction;
  3. Prepare communication plans to keep clients up to date with industry and Wakely developments;
  4. Review client documentation and contracts for consistency and compliance.

Project Management - monitor project plan quality, client satisfaction and profitability.

  1. Periodically audit project budgets, timelines and deliverables;
  2. Support and guide others on managing and communicating any scope and budget issues to the client;
  3. Oversee Peer Review practices, ASOP compliance;
  4. Oversee appropriate delegation of work.

Professional/Industry Development – Gain and sustain professional credentials.

  1. Maintain credentials by increasing health care knowledge and signing authority through continuing education.
  2. Develop initiatives for internal/external training;
  3. Assist employees with professional development;
  4. Oversee creation of additional resources and reference materials.

New Business Development – create and drive opportunities for the organization's growth.

  1. Facilitate brand recognition opportunities for Wakely through seminars/events and research papers, etc.;
  2. Prepare & organize goals, action plans and timelines focused on new business and products;
  3. Develop and oversee new marketing initiatives to generate sales leads by monitoring industry & political trends;
  4. Generate ideas, track and account for new business initiatives.

Internal Operations - Lead Wakely's Best Business Practices.

  1. Identify needs of organization and recruit top talent;
  2. Facilitate and participate in community and professional volunteer activities/opportunities.

Position Requirements
  1. FSA designation (or ASA designation with additional experience;
  2. Developed and managed $500,000 of new business annually or proven sales and client development;
  3. Full accreditation with the Society of Actuaries and American Academy of Actuaries;
  4. Minimum of 8 years of healthcare actuarial experience;
  5. Strong client and project management skills;
  6. Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Math or Statistics;
