Administrative Assistant - Membership Services 

Description

Position Objective:

To provide administrative support for the Membership Services Division

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Track and maintain source document copies of all memorial donations to PETA of $100 or more
• Write special-gift acknowledgement cards for PETA gift memberships as well as "in honor of" and memorial donations to PETA
• Process refunds for PETA's online donors
• Pull and ship credit-card batches for source retention
• Pull corresponding source documents when notices of credit-card disputes are received from the Finance Department
• Maintain the reversal log and miscellaneous batch log spreadsheets
• Assist the division manager with batch review for locking batches
• Maintain digital files for workplace and matching gifts to PETA
• Maintain daily deposit reports
• Scan daily download files and send to Major Gifts for PETA's Vanguard acknowledgements
• Act as the department's payroll liaison
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor


 

Position Requirements

• High school education or higher

• Minimum of one year of data entry experience

• Experience working in an office environment

• Proven knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute

• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated effective organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. on a regular basis

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
