Agility, customer centricity and creativity will be critical for the successful candidate to fit into the organization. The Citrix Engineer performs a wide variety of evaluations, maintenance, installation, and training tasks to ensure the enterprise Citrix systems and infrastructure related equipment meets company and user satisfaction. This individual works closely with and provides support to Global IT team members and their clients. This position is also responsible in the design and build of enterprise components for deployment, based upon client or management specifications. Although the location of the position is in Newton, NJ, from time to time it may be required to undertake duties at other Global ThorLabs locations. Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to: Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with internal customers and vendors and able to thrive in the ever changing work environment. Responsible for the detailed architectural support for Citrix technologies, utilizing Provisioning Services and MCS to deploy virtual XenApp Servers. Managing server performance and functionality while maintaining a high availability server operations environment. Develop detailed documentation regarding installation, upgrades, support, and compatibility issues. Provide daily administration of XenApp, XenDesktop, and HDX servers, and installing, configuring, and monitoring Microsoft and virtual based servers. Implement, design, and manage complex Citrix core infrastructures. Inclusive of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop, Appsense Profile Management, Provisioning/MCS Services, in a redundant Vmware Vsphere hypervisor environment. Configuration, installation, and maintenance of Citrix NetScalers. Configures, installs, and maintains wide area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, switches, modems, and cabling. Ensure hardware, software, and network upgrades, installations, re-installations, changes, and relocations are efficiently completed as required. Analyze our system infrastructure to recommend designs and specifications. Produce related design/support documentation. Provide support during network outages/incidents and ensuring all stakeholders are informed and vendors are engaged to work the problem to resolution Ensure the network architecture and device configurations and standards are adhered to and meet best practice and compliance requirements. Collects and analyzes network and system utilization, and recommend changes as required. Researches and evaluates new technologies. Ensure that all aspects of the network are thoroughly documented, up-to-date and accessible to the department. Qualifications US Persons: Ability to work on ITAR related product(s) Experience: 3+ years systems engineering at enterprise level with strong knowledge of High Availability Citrix farms. Education: Associates, Technical School or Bachelor's Degree. Cisco, Microsoft, VMWARE, Citrix, Netapp, Appsense, Certifications a plus. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: The position deals heavily with the user population and local facilities on a daily basis, and as such, the person we seek will conduct themselves in a professional, helpful and supportive manner at all times. The candidate must be hands-on related to supporting and deploying network equipment and servers. The ability to research solutions outside ones typical skill set is a strong plus. Ability to diagnosis hardware, security, and application issues Solid knowledge and experience with Windows 7/10 and application delivery/packaging solutions – including application streaming, sequencing and isolation. Expertise with entire Citrix Suite. Expert with roll-outs, updates, and troubleshooting. Expertise with Citrix V7.6 Core component services and XenApp/XenDesktop/HDX environments using Appsense to manage user profiles and configurations. Utilization of Citrix provisioning and MCS services to deliver highly virtualized dynamic workloads. Command line, powershell, and other scripting for administration and support. Experience publishing applications through XenDestop as well as experience providing supporting Windows Servers and VMware environments. The ability to install, configure and manage Citrix NetScalers. Knowledge with Mircrosoft infrastructure technologies including: DHCP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects. Expertise in delivering local area services for clients in various network architectures and an understanding of related technologies. Experience with and working knowledge of Storage Area Networks.
