Effective with the release of this position announcement, Winrock International is recruiting applicants for the position of Accountant for an anticipated USAID-funded Tajikistan Agribusiness Competitiveness Activity project.
Winrock is seeking senior-level agriculture marketing, supply chain, and finance experts for a USAID funded project that will support the growth of a competitive agriculture industry in Tajikistan. The experts will design and provided technical leadership to activities that will support agribusinesses in accessing and competing in domestic, region, and international markets. Through its market-driven interventions the project will spur on and off-farm employment opportunities and incentivize investment in business service provision and market infrastructure. For all positions, preference is given to those with previous private sector experience and advanced degrees.
The Accountant prepares the monthly wire request, manages accounts payables, receivables, payroll, travel advances, and the prepares the monthly financial report and quarterly financial reports and annual VAT reports for USAID.
Additionally, responds to routine Home Office accounting queries, prepares the bank reconciliation, ensures all procedures are adhered to in accordance to Winrock's internal procedures, and oversees the performance of bookkeepers day to day transactions and accounting work.
Minimum Experience Required:
5 years' experience in an accounting position with a supervisory role.
Experience with USAID regulations preferred. in product development, marketing, branding, and capacity building.
Fluency in Russian and Tajik.
Proficiency in English preferred.
