Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts for the organization with direct responsibility for the quality function. This position will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will report directly to the CEO. Responsibilities include overseeing quality engineering, in-process and final inspection, supplier/vendor QA engineering, and/or process excellence programs such as LEAN/Six Sigma for the organization. Develops, implements and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. As well as plan and administer procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Provide leadership, counsel, and manage cross-functional teams as well as employees in direct chain of command, giving direction and defining objectives; Serve as change agent and lead the team to implement common processes, systems and policies
  • Demonstrated skill in directing resources including the ability to plan and coordinate the activities of assigned organizations and programs
  • Proven ability to manage projects with increasing complexity, spend, and scope in a global environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to respond to customer and business requests, communicate with a wide variety of levels and positions, and influence others to create productive partnerships
  • Ability to listen, diagnose and work in a team environment to create solutions. Effective teambuilding and negotiation skills with an ability to influence stakeholders with competing interests
  • Strong demonstrated business acumen and strategic business judgment
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), ITAR, Export Controls, ISO, and Lean Processes preferred

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree required plus a minimum of 15 years' experience in an electronic manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred candidates will have a graduate degree and more than 20 years of applicable experience.
  • Experience in an FAA certified repair station is a plus
  • Must have a successful demonstrated track record of leading organizational change, must have a history of leading, mentoring and developing employees to maximize organizational effectiveness
  • LEAN six Sigma Black Belt a plus
