Share Email Opening Title Talent Acquisition Specialist  Category Clerical   Position Talent Acquisition Specialist   Description Overview: Talent Acquisition Specialist, reporting directly to the COO, will collaborate with the operations department managers to identify current and future needs and proactively recruit qualified candidates, with a focus on field operations (heavy equipment operators, gas crew foremen, pipeline welders, and CDL dump truck drivers). Oversees the identification of potential candidates, interviewing, selection and placement of candidates throughout Northeast. Ensures recruiting strategy, methodology, and processes are aligned with business needs and ensures compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting function. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will ultimately help with building a strong employer brand while providing a positive candidate experience. Responsibilities: Design and implement overall recruiting strategy with senior management Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss department needs Performs comprehensive targeted research strategy for qualified candidates via internal databases, job boards, schools, professional associations, business contacts with other companies and discussions with other research personnel Work alongside operations management with screening candidate resumes and job applications Continuously evaluate and develop the management team in interview etiquette and techniques Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule Coordinates with the HR Manager to ensure all new hiring processing takes place on the employee's first day of work Assist in employer branding incentives, such as recruiting events, open houses, job fairs, corporate parties (travel to recruitment events may be required) Maintain relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved; promote company’s reputation by incorporating the Feeney Way Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices and stay current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices Work with the operations department and HR in developing quarterly and annual budgets for future positions and hiring needs Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to senior management Develop and maintain current retention programs by conducting orientations; monitoring intern job contributions; coaching interns; advising managers on training and coaching.   Position Requirements Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong listening skills Construction industry recruiting experience required Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter) Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress etc) Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check etc) Strong decision-making and presentation skills Education/Experience Requirements: BA in Business Administration or equivalent work experience Human Resources compliance knowledge   Salary   Req Number HUM-18-00001   Location Boston   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
