JOB SUMMARY

The Production Test team's mission is to provide environmental and product test support to the production floor. We do this by following written test procedures and having a deep understanding of the operation of test equipment and environmental chambers. This is a senior production tech position. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in electronics, technical leadership, new product introduction, coordination with other technicians on test tasks, familiarity with all types of testing and troubleshooting, as well as Operations initiatives in lean manufacturing principles. The successful candidate will also be able to meet time standards on all products currently manufactured by the company, and perform any administrative duties required to support the Production Test team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Perform production and environmental tests per established procedures and verify results.

Read and follow schematic diagrams.

Redline test and environmental test procedures during new product introduction.

Troubleshoot complex high power switching power supplies.

Assist in evaluation of new equipment required to support the work group.

Assist other technicians in the work group with the troubleshooting of defective units.

Fill out required paperwork following current company procedures and review data of other technicians as required.

Define, lead, and execute continuous improvement following lean manufacturing principles in test and environmental workspaces.

Insure adherence to approved safety policies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (Electronics) from two-year college, military electronics school, or technical school, and a minimum of six years related experience.
