Description

Koniag Services, Inc. (KSI) is looking for a Business Operations Analyst to join our team in Baltimore MD. This is a direct, full-time position with our company. This position will support the Koniag leadership team in analyzing project performance, project financials, invoices, etc., to develop forecasts and financial analysis reports. The Business Operations Analyst will support other analysis and business operations initiatives as required.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct financial and business analysis and research in such areas as financial tracking and forecasts, invoice reconciliation, expense reconciliation, and contract performance
  • Prepare financial reports, such as project cost reports, time charging reports, and overhead and G&A expenditure reports
  • Prepare consolidated forecasts and budgets; analyzes trends in revenue, expenses and related areas
  • Assist with special financial and business-related studies, working in conjunction with other departments to prepare analysis
  • Work with the sector finance and contracts departments to help track contract modification and changes to funded and invoiced amounts
  • Work with Program Managers to develop and maintain forecasts
  • Manage actions assigned to the business leads, such as recording and reporting
  • Write and edit various documents, including support for business, system, program management, and project management documentation
  • Facilitate meetings and logistics thereof
  • Develop presentations
  • Perform other duties as required.
 
Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar discipline
  • Accounting and/or project financial planning certificates are highly desired

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong MS Excel skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Attention to detail; top-notch organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; able to work well within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1-3 years' experience as a project controller in federal contacting
  • 1-3 years' experience in accounting, general ledger, or related

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, perform simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
