RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer general inquiries regarding employment, deductions, and pay.
  • Accountable for the daily administration of maintaining personnel related documentation, including employee status changes, performance evaluations, time off requests and personal changes.
  • Process employee garnishments such as child support payments or IRS garnishments.
  • Complete monthly turnover reports and EEO-1 yearly report.
  • Process all new hires into necessary databases and ensure all paperwork is correct.
  • Process employee paperwork into a Data Management system.
  • Participate in annual audits such as I-9, API Q1, and assist other departments with their audits who need access to Personnel Files.
  • Maintain and file documents in personnel files in E-File.
  • Responsible for a basic understanding and knowledge of Orion policy and assisting with communication and compliance regarding employment.
  • Maintains knowledge of Company forms and policies and help department implement and uphold policies and procedures; communicates to employees when necessary.
  • Other tasks may be assigned as needed.
 
Position Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education and Training – An Associate’s Degree from a two year college or university; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience or as deemed sufficient by management.
  • Skills – Ability to read and interpret written instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Technical Requirements - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Great Plains Dynamics or equivalent software.
  • Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Working Conditions – This job is usually in an office setting and the noise level is quiet.
