PacArctic is hiring a full time Project Coordinator to work on site supporting PAC and our government customer in the Fort Collins, CO area.

The PacArctic Project Coordinator will receive direction from the USFWS Project Manager. Many efforts are conducted in a team atmosphere where the awardee is expected to exercise judgment and resourcefulness in resolving issues with other team members.

The Coordinator:

  • Coordinates and documents the IWMM Steering Committee calls and annual meetings.
  • Coordinates work with other IWMM team members and specialists, as appropriate.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and information transfer among the team members to ensure continued progress in implementing the IWMM.
  • Serves as an active member on various IWMM sub-teams and working groups.
  • Provides input and support toward the maintenance and upkeep of the IWMM website.
  • Prepares technical reports and articles, and represents the Service in technical, scientific, and other professional meetings and committees, as appropriate.
Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Up to 5 years of similar experience, knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Must have knowledge specific to waterbird ecology and their habitats in addition to a broad understanding of national and regional waterbird monitoring efforts, the IWMM protocol and data information system, FWS Migratory Bird Program, FWS National Wildlife Refuge Program and other federal, state and other avian-related non-profit organizations as appropriate
  • Must be able to travel occasionally for meetings and workshops, this is estimated to be no more than 4 times per year

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to stand for extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Includes travel to local, remote and out of state locations.
