SUMMARY: Responsible for implementing, supervising, and ensuring all repair and maintenance of all building structure, finishes, and fixtures are in accordance with applicable building codes on all entities and properties under the control of Mille lacs Corporate Ventures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
? Responsible for the supervision and coordination of Maintenance staff activities throughout the facility, ensuring department standards are met.
? Responds to work orders on a daily basis, according to facility needs, delegating jobs to ensure completion of tasks on schedule and following up to ensure jobs are completed.
? Communicate daily work directives and communication in written/verbal form.
? Communicate with other shift managers or managers of various departments for coordination and implementation of project goals and timelines.
? Ensures timekeeping, financials, and purchasing are kept within budget guidelines.
? Creates work schedules.
? Works with supervisors to maintain accurate records including, but not limited to, utilities, building structure and HVAC systems.
? Ensures that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions as outlined in the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and that all Associates are trained in the proper use of chemicals.
? Maintains strict adherence to all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules and regulations.
? Maintain all mechanical equipment and ensure all worn parts are replaced.
? Responsible for maintaining and updating inventory, sourcing out products, negotiating pricing with vendors, and ordering stock as necessary.
? Must take accountability for the cleanliness and overall condition of the property and grounds when performing and supervising tasks.
? Ensures Associates are maintaining a neat, clean, safe and organized work area in the shops.
? Ensures compliance with all company service standards, policies and procedures.
? Interacts with guests and other departments in a respectful, professional and courteous manner.
? Any and all other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
? Three (3) years supervisory experience.
? Responsible for documenting Associate attendance, job performance, and completion of annual appraisals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
? Minimum of three (3) years experience in Facilities maintenance management.
? If required, must be able to pass company pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
? Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority, and follow all relevant DGR's.
? Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
? Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group situations, and to moderate-sized gatherings of associates, executives and/or community leaders.
? Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
? Ability to interpret specifications and cost estimates for assigned jobs.
? Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and technical documents.
? Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to:
? Talk and hear;
? See and adjust focus to include close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision;
? Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl;
? Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands;
? Lift, push, pull and/or move objects weighing up to one hundred (100) pounds;
? Climb a variety of ladders, up to 36 feet tall, and use aerial lift equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly exposed to:
? A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).
? A moderate-to-loud noise level (operations areas).
? Second-hand cigarette/cigar smoke.
? Moving mechanical and/or electrical components.
? Motorized equipment and machinery.
? Occasionally exposed to unusual indoor and outdoor elements such as extreme temperatures, wet or humid conditions, chemicals, fumes, vibration, airborne particles, dirt, dust and other hazards.
