Description

Winegard is looking for an engineer with Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 4 years of work experience to be responsible for engineering and technical disciplines involved with mechanical product design of antenna systems and components. Disciplines include product specification, design, costing, prototypes, testing and manufacturing integration. Working knowledge of design and CAD modeling software including Creo Parametric and experience with metal fabrication, die casting and injection molding are required. Organizational and time management skills are necessary to manage the technical activities, aiming to assure project accuracy and quality from concept to completion.

  • Interact with management, customers and R&D engineers as necessary to define and apply customer specifications and requirements, to provide products that best meet customer needs and expectations

  • Provide mechanical product designs that meet customer requirements, including 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, mechanical testing and material specifications

  • Cooperate and communicate technical and project specific information effectively with sales, purchasing, manufacturing, quality and other departments as needed

  • Monitor compliance to performance standards and specifications, customer expectations, process limitations, cost requirements, QA/QC policies

 
Position Requirements
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field

  • Four years working experience as a detailed mechanical design engineer

  • Project management skills and experience

  • Working knowledge of design and CAD modeling software including Creo Parametric

  • MS Office skills

  • Experience and familiarity with metal fabrication, die casting and injection molding required.

  • Familiarity with design performance standards and specifications of metal and plastic manufactured products

  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects

  • Time management and organizational skills
