Share Email Opening Title Mechanical Engineer Intern (2018-002 TFT)  Astronics Subsidiary   Location   Description JOB SUMMARY The role of the Mechanical Engineering Intern will be to apply creative ability, engineering skills, and critical thinking to help support and create products for the aerospace industry. This position requires fundamental mechanical engineering skills to assist his/her team in the planning, implementation, and completion of projects. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The ability to interpret and create engineering drawings. The ability to complete introductory work with CAD solid modelling software. The ability to create accurate documents with high attention to detail (drawings, parts lists). The ability to troubleshoot products and find root case of failures under the guidance of more senior engineers. The ability to operate standard lab equipment, have familiarity with 3D printing. The ability to work in a team environment. The ability to take direction and seek input from senior technical staff as required.
