Team Lead, State Regulatory Compliance

General Position Summary:

The Team Lead of State Regulatory will be responsible for the process and oversight of AP compliance at MedExpress. Responsibilities include being the subject matter expert within this field, supervision of AP Compliance Coordinator, oversight of the supervising physician/advanced practitioner relationship including development of agreements, pairing and auditing. Development of the new state worksheet, facilitator of the New State meeting, preparing the State Playbook, and oversight of the State Research on the SharePoint.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert in the field of state regulatory and supervising physician processes in all states in which MedExpress currently operates as well as performing due diligence in future states that MedExpress is considering entering.
  • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the supervising physician/advanced practitioner tracking and agreement execution process upon hire as well as required pairings as employees leave or transfer across the MedExpress platform.
  • Responsible for having a full grasp and understanding of the state requirements and to work with other SMEs across MedExpress and develop and revise Collaborative Agreement templates per regulatory requirements.
  • Supervision of AP Compliance Coordinator role.
  • Development of the new state worksheet.
  • Facilitator of the New State meeting.
  • Preparing the State Playbook.
  • Oversight of the State Research on the SharePoint.

Working Relationships:

Will work across multiple departments in the organization including Human Resources, Provider and Medical Affairs, Risk, Legal, and Compliance. Day to day interaction with Medical Leadership, up to the Chief Medical Affairs Officer.

Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar or related position required, specifically with a focus on regulatory and AP compliance.
  • Clinical or regulatory background preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to communicate across a variety of different audiences, including non-clinical and clinical.
  • Strong understanding of systems and technology utilized in this field.

Working Conditions:

Non-Center Based. Requires: the ability to sit at a computer for hours at a time (with some bending and stooping), travel to Centers (if so, the noise level is moderate and there is potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens), and ability to lift 50 lbs.
