As Control System Service Technician – Instrumentation and Control Systems, you will be a key link in the development and delivery of control systems and technical services to Catalyst customers. Responsible for multiple aspects of the development, field installation, start-up, troubleshooting and service of the various equipment control systems offered by the Cogent Family of companies. Successful candidates have the ability work both independently and in a team environment to build long term customer relationships. Position Responsibilities: Installation, Commissioning and Calibration of Instrumentation and Process Control Systems Programming, commissioning and troubleshooting VFD Variable Frequency Drives, Motor Controls Custom Control Panel Design, Assembly, Installation, Modification and Service Electrical Installation of Equipment Including Conduit and Wiring Infrastructure Strong familiarity with SCADA Systems, PLC’s Programmable Logic Controllers, Wireless Communication and Remote Monitoring Systems   Position Control Systems Technician   Position Requirements Skills / Requirements: Minimum Two-year degree from a technical college or vocational school with coursework related to industrial electrical control systems, process instrumentation and automation systems. Four-year Engineering Degree Preferred Minimum 3 years working field experience as a Field Service Engineer / Technician with specific work experience to include: Excellent Communications and Customer Service Skills Strong Computer literacy Work without direct supervision Positive Attitude and Good Interpersonal Skills Strong Problem Solving Skills Detail Oriented High Level of Accuracy and Quality Control Proven Initiative and Work Ethic Establish and adjust work schedule to meet project requirements and emergency service requests Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, overtime.
