Micro-Electronics Engineer 

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide Production/Process support for microelectronics and CCA assembly area.
  • Responsible for generation of process instructions, assembly instructions, and equipment operation instructions.
  • Oversee and provide guidance in the assembly and troubleshooting of production and depot hardware.
  • Work with Production Control and Production Supervisor to schedule work flow to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Technical leader in microelectronics with knowledge and experience to quickly determine required corrective actions and implement solutions.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board activities, failure analysis, and corrective/preventive action investigation.
  • Hands on leader with responsibility for resolving technical challenges, ensuring successful tactical execution.
  • Work closely with the program teams to ensure that all applicable requirements are met.
  • Provide technical support to suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they are successful.
  • Provide technical support in the evaluation of new product introductions.

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE: Bachelor's Degree, prefer advanced degree plus a minimum of 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Both a broad and strong knowledge-base in a variety of manufacturing capabilities & techniques to include the following:

  • Micro-Electronics
  • Electro-Mechanical
  • Electronics Manufacturing
  • Proficient in Mil-Std-883 and IPC-610

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Background in manufacturing electronics for military and government systems.
  • Background in fast paced production manufacturing environment
  • Background in developing/improving manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with root cause and corrective action analysis tools for use towards manufacturing process problems, workmanship defects, mechanical test failures, etc.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or working knowledge of Lean/Process Improvement tools.
  • Good communication skills including the ability to deliver effective presentations to peers, management, and customers
  • Proven record of successfully setting accomplishments at targeting and achieving results, prioritizing tasks, overcoming obstacles, establishing team standards and responsibilities and creating a results-focused environment
