Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Six (6) months of Supervisory experience.

  2. One (1) year of retail or convenience store experience.

  3. High School Diploma or GED

  4. General knowledge of computers, and a thorough understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  5. Effective communication skills both verbal and written ensuring the ability to read and follow directions on equipment, cleaning chemicals and instruction.

  6. Requires strong problem solving, decision making, and cash handling skills.

  7. Must be reliable and meet strict work hours; day shift, swing shift, weekends and/or holidays. afternoons and evenings.

  8. Must be courteous, personable and professional in relating to customers at all times.

  9. Physically fit – able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time; able to perform repetitive motions with wrists. Hand and fingers; maneuver and lift a minimum of 40 lbs. chest high.

  10. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

  11. Must be at least 18 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One (1) year of Supervisory experience retail, convenience store.

 
Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supervising employees and store operations on shift. Shall ensure service standards are maintained to promote guest satisfaction and return visits, including performing front line and administrative work as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Shall promote guest service to ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient and quality staff service

  2. Responsible for overseeing and maintaining operations on shift, including appropriate staffing for business needs.

  3. Responsible for supervision of staff, conducting performance evaluations, counseling, training and disciplinary actions.

  4. Administer cash handling procedures, daily shift reconciliations, and deposits etc.

  5. Develop, monitor, and routinely inspect daily cleaning assignments against established performance standards.

  6. Ensure that food items are handled in a healthful and safe manner by adhering to food handling standards such as "first in first out", or FIFO, at all times.

  7. Ensure that beverage orders and menu items are prepared to established standards.

  8. Ensure that store product is shelved properly and replenished as needed.

  9. Assist with product inventory, including delivery, storage, inventory counts, and displays.

  10. Communicate with co-workers and manager, operational concerns, staffing needs, maintenance needs and/or reports and participate in meeting business goals and objectives.

  11. Promote effective communication through daily communication with all employees, in staff meetings, informational logs, e-mail, written materials, etc.

  12. Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc. Administer policies appropriately and consistently.

  13. Routinely monitor shift, and address priorities.

  14. Participate in staff training and development by assessing daily functions and performance training needs and communicating needs with manager.

  15. Ensures that operation of equipment, tools and materials are handled in a safe manner.

  16. Promotes a clean, safe and healthy work environment for employees and guest. Promptly addresses hazards and reports all concerns to manager.

  17. Promotes internal guest service standards by treating employees with courtesy and respectful behavior.

  18. Other related duties as assigned or directed.

 
Salary $13.00-$16.00
