Are you a game-changer? We invite you to join our Summer Intern Team as a communications Intern. Ideally, the intern will maintain the AstraZeneca/MedImmune presence on various social media platforms and help create and publish content that is relevant to our customer base. He/she will regularly analyze and report on the activity on social media networks as well as the AstraZeneca/MedImmune website. In addition, the intern will assist in the creation and implementation of marketing strategy and tactics for our clients. Primary Responsibilities Perform social media market research Collect and analyze marketing data to develop and adjust marketing plans Assist in the creation of client presentations and proposals Participation in weekly team calls with fellow interns and the Marketing team to discuss best practices and opportunities for improvements. Assemble/create client activity reports Develop AstraZeneca/MedImmune content, including blog posts and white papers Maintain good client relationships through professionalism in all functions of customer service Assist in the coordination of tasks and deliverables between client, production, and any other third parties Have a clear understanding and be able to work in digital and print marketing channels   Position Requirements Qualifications College student majoring in digital media, marketing, advertising, or communications Minimal 3.2 GPA preferred Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.) Familiarity with Google AdWords and Google Analytics Basic understanding of Internet advertising practices and options Strong writing and speaking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Highly organized with the ability to multitask Excellent critical thinking skills   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location Gaithersburg, MD   This position is currently not accepting applications.
