Supply Chain Internship

Job Title: Supply Chain Intern

Position Description:

We invite you to join our Summer Intern Team as a Supply Chain Intern you will have the opportunity to learn about multiple facets of our global supply chain including the areas of Procurement/Purchasing, Planning, Logistics and Customer Service. Your internship will be aligned to your area of study/interest and you will be assigned projects and daily tasks accordingly. You will support key projects in your area of focus and will work with supply chain professionals, as well as internal and external customers, to learn various aspects of the supply chain process, gather and analyze data using statistical analysis, and identify and recommend process improvements.

Typical projects may include:

  • Logistics – Carrier quality reporting and analysis, RFP development and review, approval and compliance review, freight claim investigation and administration, strategy planning
  • Procurement/Purchasing – Spend analysis, supplier approval process support, strategic procurement planning process
  • Supply Chain – Strategic Network Optimization project, Various process improvement initiatives and system enhancement projects involving SAP, General Reporting and Analytical Support

     
    Position Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Must be currently pursuing a 4 year degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Purchasing, Logistics, or related field
    • Strong candidates will possess the following skills:
      • Leadership, Deliver Outstanding Results, Strategic Thinking, Analytical Thinking, Team Building, Communication
    • Demonstrates strong analytical, communication, and learning skills
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new systems, Experience with SAP a plus
    • Prior internship experience with a Supply Chain focus or in the chemical industry is a plus
    • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
    • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
