All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Description Job Summary The 50/50 raffle ticket staff is responsible for promotion and sales of Pirates Charities 50/50 raffle tickets during Pirates home games at PNC Park. The primary goal of the staff is to sell raffle tickets to fans and educate the public about the rules of the raffle as well as its purpose, to raise funds for Pirates Charities. Staff must be present at least a half hour before gates open to receive location assignments, sign out equipment and review sales goals before each game. Staff are responsible for the safe return of equipment and cash once a winner is drawn for each raffle. Staff members will need to have strong customer service skills when promoting the raffle and interacting with fans purchasing raffle tickets. Responsibilities Facilitating raffle ticket sales via electronic hand held device and/or PC. Educate fans about the rules and process of 50/50 raffles. Educate fans about Pirates Charities, the nonprofit beneficiary of 50/50 raffles. Ensure raffle tickets are only sold to fans 18 years of age or older. Effectively handle any issues that might arise from raffle ticket purchasers. Seller is accountable for all funds collected during selling period, and is responsible for reconciling cash total against electronic hand held device. Ensure all money from raffle ticket sales is returned to Community and Public affairs staff periodically throughout selling period, and following winning ticket draw. Any other duties as assigned by Community and Public Affairs Department.   Position Requirements GED/High School Diploma  One to two years customer service experience  Ability to work evenings/weekends  At least 18 years of age Experience using handheld electronic device (tablet/smartphone) preferred Experience using Microsoft operating system on a Personal Computer preferred   Location Pittsburgh, PA   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Shift Various Shifts   This position is currently not accepting applications.
