Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist  

About the Organization MRC Global is the largest global distributor, based on sales, of pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) and related products and services to the energy industry and supplies these products and services across each of the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(not all inclusive)

  • Manage the full life cycle of the recruiting process for US employees;
  • Work with Managers to learn critical aspects of position, indicators or success, and ideal candidate profile;
  • Recruit/Source, contact, screen, and interview candidates;
  • Assess candidate competency to include job fit, motivational fit, and culture fit;
  • Manage requisitions using the applicant tracking tool;
  • Identify and utilize resources to assist in proactively seeking talent in a competitive recruiting environment;
  • Develop short and long term sourcing strategies by partnering with Regional HR Managers;
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State employment laws and regulations;
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships within cross-functional work teams (i.e. HR Admin, Payroll, Training, to ensure a coordinated and cohesive work effort and consistent approach to managing policies and procedures;
  • Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.
Position Requirements

Education, Experience, & Ability Requirements

Any combination of requirements which provide knowledge & abilities necessary to perform Essential Duties & Responsibilities will be considered

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work;
  • Five (5) years of related experience in a recruitment role, preferably in a sales/industrial organization;
  • Ability to be flexible, motivated, resourceful, independent, reliable and organized in a multi task environment;
  • Outstanding verbal/written communication skills and ability to provide high level support;
  • Ability to partner, influence and work effectively with management and to positively interact with employees and coworkers;
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, to include holidays and weekends;
  • Ability to travel as needed for recruitment or other HR events.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status;
  • Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and to respond to inquiries;
  • Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
