Our unwavering commitment to our Associates, their health and safety, self-directed work teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement create a rewarding and fun place to work.   Description Job Summary The BMC Purchasing Associate will help execute the organizations purchasing strategies by being responsible for the procurement of raw materials, parts and services for maintenance, repairs and operations, equipment, and capital expenditures for BMC and related entities. Responsibilities include vendor management, contract negotiation and review, and price negotiation. Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years purchasing experience Working knowledge and application of standard concepts, practices and procedures (i.e. MRP, Safety stock, JIT) Working knowledge of Wisconsin manufacturing sales and use tax rules Strong computer skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent negotiation and networking abilities High level of analytic ability Strong attention to detail Solid judgement and decision making skills Problem solving skills within framework of standard practice, including in-depth fact finding Willingness to travel as needed (<20%) Willingness to have a flexible schedule to help fit and cover production needs   Physical Abilities Must pass toxicity test   Travel Less than 25%   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
