Description

The qualified candidate shall provide both Service Support and Service Delivery functions and must possess a basic Information Management IT understanding of hardware, software, network, security, and system administration. The qualified candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of support including, but not limited to:

  • Support customers through online chat, telephone, the ticketing system, e-mail, or as a walk up/hallway consultation
  • Gather the customer’s information, open an incident ticket, and enter the customer’s issue by analyzing the symptoms and determining the underlying problem
  • Troubleshoot items such as verifying physical layer issues, resolving username and password problems, system maintenance and repairs, account creation and deletion, uninstalling/reinstalling basic software applications, verification of proper hardware and software set up, and assistance with navigating around application menus
  • Assist in investigating escalated incidents by validating the problem and seeking known solutions related to complex IT issues; tasks may include a broad range of services, such as, onsite installations or replacements of various hardware components, software install and/or repair, diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of hardware and/or software, or network connectivity incidents
  • Resolve incidents on site or using remote desktop tools; update incident tickets with detailed information as to how the incident was resolved, and include any information required by standard operating procedures
  • Support asset tracking, asset accountability, accepting and documenting deliveries from various third party shipping companies, prepping hardware for turn-in to The Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO), etc.
 
Position Requirements
  • Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Ability to obtain certification requirements within six months to meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements, including CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, GSEC, CISSP, CASP, CISA, GCED, and GCIH
  • 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a customer support role using online char, telephone, the ticketing system, email, or personal consultation
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
