Share Email Opening Title Plant Laborer  Great Info   Location Seattle, WA   Description l> Ability to aid in plant operation and process grease barrels Animal hide removal using cutting devices including knives, hydraulic carcass cutter and winch. Upon receipt of work order or oral instructions, loads, unloads, and moves materials/containers within or near plant, yard, and work site Loads and unloads material from pallets, trays, boxes, and other containers Cleans/washes work area, machines, vehicles and/or equipment Shovels loose material into machine hoppers, vehicles or pit Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products Cleaning the cooking processing equipment (cookers, dryers, augers, elevators, tankers, process tanks and railroad cars) Will work with corrosive chemicals such as caustic and sulfuric acids Painting of equipment, as necessary Completes the necessary regulatory paperwork Operates process equipment as instructed Will work around steam driven machinery Employees are exposed to cooking oil and raw animal parts Performs other duties as assigned   Position Requirements High School diploma Must be able to drive forklift or other manual driven vehicles Must be able to work hands on with whole dead stock Must be able to climb ladders/ stairs and not be afraid of heights Will need to stand unassisted throughout employee’s normal shift Previous experience in a production setting is desirable Must be able to work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions Prior forklift experience desirable Must be able to frequently push or pull up to 100 pounds on a slippery surface using a repetitive motion   Benefits   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift Days   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   About the Organization Baker Commodities Inc. has been in business for over 80 years.
