Description
  • Demonstrated ability to independently configure and install desktop and laptop systems and install applications on systems.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and assist with daily technical support in organizations with different support requirements.
  • Ability to identify and work independently on special projects.
  • Provide ongoing support for Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Office 2013/2016, Exchange 2013/2016, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Deployment Toolkit (MDT) Imaging, and Active Directory.
  • Serve as a leader on the helpdesk team.
  • Troubleshoot and solve common network issues using physical and logical diagnostic tools. Work with other technical teams to resolve large scale issues.
  • Provide technical support to field personnel.
  • Perform quality control of the ticket to ensure that all actions taken at Tier 2 are properly documented.
  • Escalate those tickets that cannot be resolved within the SOP time to higher level of support, such as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Database Administrators, or System Administrators.
  • Assist with system integration, configuration management, performance analysis, documentation, and implementation of desktop or laptop configuration.
  • Resolve specialized hardware and software problems with customers having little or no background in computers.
  • Conduct component level diagnostics. Maintain documentation for procedures and processes, as well as, maintenance logs and equipment databases.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to solve complex systems problems quickly with little technical guidance, and develop automated corrective measures
  • Test new hardware and software systems and packages prior to deployment.
  • Create procedures for field technicians and users.
  • Manage a ticket queue on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify and lead Helpdesk level projects.
  • Ability to work with the Project Management Office to provide technical support to projects
 
Position Requirements
  • 4-6 years of experience in helpdesk operations
  • DoD Secret clearance is required
  • Ability to obtain certification requirements within six months to meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements, including CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, GSEC, CISSP, CASP, CISA, GCED, and GCIH
  • Strong experience with Windows operating system
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Office 2013/2016, Exchange 2013/2016, SCCM 2012, Deployment Toolkit (MDT) Imaging and Active Directory.
  • Experience evaluating and assessing Windows hardening processes, such as Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS), and Internet Explorer Active Directory group policies.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy, Landesk and other tracking software.
  • Experience with hardware (Dell, Lenovo, and HP)
  • Experience with printers
  • Experience with servers
  • Strong interpersonal and written/oral communications skills
